Buddy Reading: a general announcement

So yesterday I asked if someone wanted to buddy read with me and I got a lot of responds so yayyy 😀 I’m exited! I want give this buddy-reading my own swing, so I think it would be cool to do buddy-reads with three persons instead of two. Some people wanted to read the same books, but I don’t want to choose between you so we can just read it together, right? If you hate each other it’s okay to say so then I won’t make you 😉

The buddies & book combinations I came up with are:

For me it doesn’t matter when I read them, at least if it’s not all at the same time because that would be a bit too much. So let me know what works for you.

I got a great idea last night. I don’t know what is normal when doing buddy reads because I’ve never done it before, but I’m assuming you write a review together at the end. I wanted to do something a little bit different, I wanted to give it a sort of interview style thing. I create nine questions (maybe more?) and we answer them in a chat-like style, like in a conversation. We then split it in three times three questions and we can make a mini-series of reviews on every blog (so three questions per blog). Okay maybe this is weird… or not. Let me know what you think.

Also I thought a general announcement would be easier than sending you all messages (yeah I’m lazy, sorry). If someone else wants to buddy read, check out my previous post, and maybe I can fit you in somewhere 🙂

    1. Uhm, I have to come up with those but it will probably be questions like “What is your favourite aspect of the book” and “Did you like the main character? and why?” or something more book-specific

  1. Well since Emma is the book for the month of November for the Austentatious Book Club, I assume we will be reading it in November :P. The read-a-thon I am participating in ends on November 6th, but I will be in London till November 7th. So I can start with the buddy read after the 7th.

  2. Yay! I’m so glad you found buddies. You found more buddies than I did with my original post! Lol. Way to go! I can hold off on reading The Wrath and The Dawn as long as you want. So whenever will be fine with me!

  3. Aah yay this sounds awesome! I’m probably going to be a little more busy once I go back to school in November but I’m happy to do it whenever. Hmm maybe An Ember in the Ashes? (I DO NOT MIND AT ALL, but that’s in my library ahaha.)

    1. Maybe we can start reading An Ember in the Ashes next week then? Girl Who Reads is available too, she said, so that should work out? I’ll email you both today
