Top Ten Tuesday |Halloween/autumn themed books

It’s time for Top Ten Tuesday! This is a returning topic hosted by The Broke & The Bookish. This week the theme is Halloween related freebie.

Okay, let me first say, I tried. I did but I don’t read scary books or Halloween-ish books. So here is a short list of books I came up with for this TTT.

  • The Light Fantastic by Sarah Combs

Not really a horror or spooky book but it is quite scary. Check out my review here.

  • The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater

Takes place in November, so that counts right? This was actually my first ever review on this blog.

  • Autumn Falls by Bella Thorne

It’s in the title? Twice? I once read this book because I was bored and it was on my little sister’s shelf. I would not recommend this book.

  • The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman

Some aspects of this book were kinda creepy and it includes a witch so that is kinda Halloween-ish.

  • Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

This book is somewhat creepy, especially the hollows and the pictures.

  • Northange Abbey by Jane Austen

This book is finally getting that paranormal theme I was waiting for! An old abbey at night can be very spooky.

What’s your favourite book to read during autumn and fall?

  1. I have the Red Eye series, which has horror/thriller books from different authors. And of course Stephen King, I am reading Carrie right now. And I am also reading Northanger Abbey.
