I was tagged by Laylah from imbookedbybooks, to do the 3 Days 3 Quotes tag, thank you! This is day 1.
Let’s open my little book of quotes (yes I do actually have a notebook filled with quotes, there are possibly a hundred in there) and see what I find.
This is a quote from Ayn Rand, of whom I once read the novel Anthem. It’s a really interesting classic novel about individualism, it’s basically about a world where there is no “I”, only we. People are conditioned not not think of themselves as individuals, and only think of the greater good. Really cool. I would definitely recommend it if you have to do some required reading for school or if you just really enjoy books like 1984 (George Orwell).
Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplacable spark in the hopeless swamps of the not-quite, the not-yet, and the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists… It is real… It is possible… It’s yours. – Ayn Rand
This is my second time doing this tag so I’m not tagging anyone in specific, but if you like to do this tag, consider yourself tagged!
