To Do Thursday (new new new)

I’m introducing a new feature on my blog! It’s called To Do Thursday, because well… it’s basically about what you still have to do. It works like this: there are three categories and I’ll pick one or more books per category and discuss them. The categories are: To Read, To Buy and To Review. I think it’ll be clear…

To Read

There are several books on my tbrย that I really want to read soon, but right now there are three books that I want to read soon (possibly within the upcoming two weeks). That is because I got them from the library. These books are:

Here I Am by Jonathan Safran Foer is an adult book and it is huge, so I’m pretty sure it will take me a while to get through. I have my doubts about whether I will enjoy this book, because I read two other books by this author and LOVED one of them and hated the other.

The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner, I picked up at my library because I read Jeff Zentner’s new book called Goodbye Days and really enjoyed it.

Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira will probably make me cry and stay up all night. I really hope it will make me stay up all night because I’ve been in a mini-reading slump and I read so slow…

To Buy

I am in desperate need of this book. I absolutely loved Laini Taylor’s Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy and Strange the Dreamer is destined to be equally amazing. The thing is, I do have gift cards from this Dutch website where I order most of my books, but they don’t have it! At least not the edition I want (I need the blue/yellow cover it’s so pretty, and I want it in paperback).

So now I’ll just have to wait for it to become available or order/buy it somewhere else…. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

To Review

I’ve been putting off reviewing In Ageless Sleep by Arden Ellis for what feels like weeks. I have had the time, I just can’t find the motivation to do so (not that the book is bad, not at all!). I kind of introduced this whole meme/feature thing to put off writing a review (how horrid of me), so maybe this will give me just that extra push to review it.

I’m writing this on Monday, so I hope that by the time this post will go up, I have reviewed In Ageless Sleep and started reading one of the books mentioned above.

Let me know what you think of my new feature! And if you’d like to do this on your blog too, go for it (but link back so I know you did)! (You can also steal my header if you want).

    1. Thanks!โ™ฅ I can’t handle another broken heart, I’ve had my heart broken so many times lately through books and series and movies and everything, so I’m going to put of reading The Serpent King a little while longer ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I sooooooo need to read The Serpent King! And ooh, tell me what you think about Love Letters to the Dead. My friend read it but didn’t let me know how she liked it. XD And AGH Laini Taylor is so cool (I actually got to met her!) and Strange the Dreamer has SUCH A PRETTY COVER AAAGGGHHH.

    1. I don’t know why but your comments keep getting stuck in my spam filter??? YOU MET LAINI TAYLOR OMG I’m so jealous!
Love Letters to the Dead was pretty good! It was way heavier than I thought it would be (I judged it as a happy contemporary but boy was I wrong). I really liked the main character but the side characters not so much. I really enjoyed reading it though ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. I hope so! I’m thinking about just buying the hardcover, it’s so expensive, BUT then I can read it!! YOU MET LAINI TAYLOR? *fangirls* that is SOO COOL ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. This post idea is brilliant! Thanks for the idea, I’ll probably do this the weeks when I’m not doing Diversity Spotlight Bingo, because it seems just like this might keep me on track ๐Ÿ™‚
