The Dreamy Covers Book Tag

It no secret that I love book covers, I buy books so I can first read them and then stare at their covers for eternity. A pretty cover can be the sole reason for buying a book.

I was tagged both by Debbie from Debbie’s Library and Savanna from The Book Prophet for this tag! Thanks to you both! The tag is created by Tiana from The Book Raven. These three bloggers are some of my absolute favourites, so go check them out! (and follow maybe?)

The Questions

“No Ideas but In Things” A book cover that perfectly expresses the novel inside

Hold Back The Stars by Katie Khan. This cover captures perfectly the story of the book, it’s about two persons flying through space with only about an hour of air left. And you know, the cover actually shows two persons floating in space so I think it’s perfect (and really pretty).

“Dark and Lovely” A book cover that is so creepalicious you just want to eat it up

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. This book cover is just so creepy, I love it.

“Sugary Sweet” A cute cover that is so fluffy you want to give it a hug

I’ll Be There by Holly Goldberg Sloan and To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. Both are so cute and pretty!

“The Simple Aesthetic” A book cover that stuns with the most minimalistic of design

Holding Up The Universe by Jennifer Niven. Simple, pretty and meaningful.

“Cover Envy” A book cover you wish you had on your shelves, but don’t yet

We Are The Ants by David Shaun Hutchinson. I am in love with this book and the premise and I haven’t even read it yet. I have this feeling that this book might become my new absolute favourite book, is that weird?

“Travelling Abroad” A beautiful book cover featuring a country outside your own

The Firebird series by Claudia Gray. This book series is just too pretty. And I’ve finally got it complete on my shelves so I can stare at the prettiness all day. I believe the covers have landscapes of New York (?), Russia (is that St. Petersburg?), Paris, San Francisco, Rome and somewhere in space. I can’t wait to read the last book (and does that mean they’re going to outer space??? *dies of excitement*)

“The Color Wheel” A cover that showcases one of your favourite colours

All The Things We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. I think you could say I love blue covers. This one is another very pretty one. I also really love the alternative cover of this book with the blue cityscape of Paris, I believe.

“Switching Gears” A cover change you absolutely adore

Anna and the French Kiss series by Stephanie Perkins. I would never have picked up this series if it still had those old cringe-worthy covers. The colours on these new covers are just simple and pretty and I love the gradient.

“Oldie but Goodie” A favourite cover of your favourite classic

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. There are probably a million pretty editions of this book but I particularly like the simplicity and the artsy-ness of this one.

“And the Winner is…” Which book cover mentioned above is your favourite?

My answer would probably always be the Firebird series by Claudia Grey, they’re just a delight to look at!

What is your favourite cover? And of these covers which one would you pick?

    1. They are soo pretty and I need We Are The Ants! I can’t stop staring at the firebird covers and I need to add all these books to my shelves so I can stare at them too! 😀

    1. It is! The first time I saw the cover (of the first book) I just needed to have it even though I didn’t know what it was about, but the sci-fi aspect is definitely great!
