IndieAthon TBR | What I’m Going to Read

In March, IndieAthon takes place and I couldn’t be more excited! Last week I showed you some book recommendations from me and some of my bookish friends and today, I’m going to be talking about the books I am going to read! I have a long list of books I’m hoping to get to but probably won’t. I’ve decided to not use the bingo card, because I TRIED and high-key failed to fit the books I wanted to read to the card. I might add the books to the bingo card after I read them, but it’s not working for me! And with my history of failing at bookish bingo cards, it’s not a big surprise to be honest haha.

No way I’m going to get through all of these but I really want to! A couple are lower priority but I really do want to read them all. But then I also have some ARCs I need to get to, I have a buddy read book and a book club book I need to get to. SO MUCH TO READ and yet not enough time.

  • No More Heroes by Michelle Kan – This is about aro-ace superheroes and I couldn’t be more excited!!
  • The Collective by R.S. Williams – Pirates, time travel, secret agents and friendship: sounds amazing!
  • We Go Forward by Alison Evans – Two girls are both travelling, meet in Berlin and become friends and it just sounds amazing (plus, there’s an aro-ace MC so I’m happy).
  • Power by Lisa Lagaly – I read the first book in this series a while ago and loved it! I can’t wait to see what will happen next!
  • Chameleon Moon by RoAnna Sylver – I have yet to find a single person that didn’t love this book and SO many people have recommended it so I better read it!
  • Survivors’ Dawn by Ashley Warren – This comes across as an New Adult version of The Nowhere Girls by Amy Reed and I absolutely loved that book so I can’t wait for this one!
  • Phaethon by Rachel Sharp – I got this book a while back in a giveaway and I never got around to reading it! It sounds like fun, and it has hackers and fae 🙂
  • The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic – This is probably one of the most popular self-published books I’ve come across and it sounds really interesting, so it better be good!
  • Not Your Sidekick by C.B. Lee – I’ve had this book on my radar for a while and I’ve heard so many good things about it! I mean, who doesn’t want to read about diverse superheroes and villains?

#IndieAthon Announcement | Read Indie Books with Me in March?

I don’t know about you, but for me, books that are independently published or self-published somehow always end up at the bottom of my priority list. And that makes me very sad! I’d love to read more indie books and delve deeper into this whole area of books I’ve only read a few of. In the past, I’ve read and reviewed some self-published books and also indie books, but I can do better! This is also the reason why I came up with this readathon. During the month March, me and my four co-hosts: Theo, Marie, Joel and Eloise will be hosting the first ever edition of #IndieAthon!
